Our properties aim to provide a warm, secure, homely experience. Each Young Person has a fully furnished, spacious room with a double bed. Depending on their support plan, some bathrooms may be shared with staff. However, the bathroom will be lockable for privacy.
Journey Care believes that supporting religious and cultural needs of Young Adults is vital to their identity and their welfare. Young Adults are encouraged to explore their religion as well as understanding and accepting different religions and beliefs. Journey Care will create an individual care plan for each Young Person. Wherever possible, we will support an individual in any way they choose to practice faith. Any dietary requirements will be supported. Journey Care will also encourage individuals who wish to explore their religious identity.
Journey Care encourages Young Adults to explore and pursue their interests. We acknowledge the importance of Young People having access to creative and physical interests for their mental health and personal development. Within our provision we offer personalised plans depending on the Young Adults interests. We have a great network in the local area and can provide a range of activities. Activities involving a higher risk will be carefully risk assessed and local authorities signed permission will be gained where necessary. Journey Care support Young People to achieve and we encourage education. We have the ability to support existing education in place and help Young People to achieve their academic goals.
